About the Event

Beginning February 8th, 2020 Saving the West Foundation (STWF) and Crop Swap LA will be offering our Winter Gardening program. Kids will learn where their food comes from, discover healthier alternatives to fuel their growing bodies and learn about topics such as pollination, composting and vegetation that can be grown in the Los Angeles climate. Our Winter Gardening program offers the perfect way for kids to get outside and get their hands dirty. Kids will have the opportunity to plant, tend, and harvest fresh herbs and vegetables under the guidance of our skilled gardening instructors. Winter Gardening will run for 3 weeks a month, with our first session being at the STWF Education Center and the last two at the Seeds of Carver Community Garden. ***PARENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND AND STAY WITH CHILD FOR THE FULL DURATION OF THE CLASS
