Asante Microfarm GRAND OPENING
Time & Location
About the Event
"Asante" means "Thank You" in Swahili.
This front yard garden project captures and recycles water, and will grow over 600 organic vegetables and leafy greens. We plan to give away 10% of the food harvested to the community, and commit to selling the rest within low-income zip codes most impacted by food apartheid.
Storing over 630 gallons of recycled water to grow food, the project has captured the imaginations of local residents and leaders to show how land can be intentionally repurposed to solve the City's most pressing food and water challenges.
The event is in-person with social distancing and masks. Street Parking. Event will begin On-Time.
